What better day to start a new project... This project will build on JumpMtr02, adding the MSP430 controller and USB interface from the MSP-EXP430F5529LP LaunchPad.

My design process is evolving. Instead of diving straight into creating a schematic, I am starting by setting the feature list. The features drive the parts needed, which dictates the BOM. Only after the BOM has been vetted will I begin working on the schematic and then the layout.

This project will be borrowing heavily from the JumpMtr02 project and TI's reference design for the MSP430F5529 LaunchPad board. I will be essentially copy/pasting the two designs into a single board.

If this board works, the next version should include a CAN interface. This would make it a great building block for teams in the FIRST competition.
