When the boards arrive, the first thing is to visually inspect the boards under the microscope. Look for solder bridges and covered pads. Do not assume the boards are OK.
If I created the mock-up board during the final verification and ran a mock assembly, I should already have all the Pick-n-Place configuration ready to go and I can skip ahead to the Solder Paste.
Otherwise, it is a requirement to run a mock board now.
