I want to revise the power converter circuit, I can consolidate the convert + regulator into a single dual-output power management module. The TPS62237 is simply too small a package for this design, it belongs in an iWatch not a motor driver.
The combined cost of the TPS62143/TPS62237 for 10 boards is $4.10.
The TPS54383 or TPS54386 look like a good choices. The only difference is that the '3 runs internally at 300KHz and the '6 runs at 600KHz. Both are in 14HTSSOP packages, 5x4.4mm with 0.65mm pitch pins. They are expensive: 54386 is $6.44@1 and $2.53@2000; 54383 is $5.53@1, $4.96@10, $4.07@100, and $2.53@2000. This is offset by requiring fewer external component. This solution is slightly more expensive but is a simpler design with fewer parts.
